ideation Process
There are many dark designs used in restaurants and on the menus.
We have all encountered the situation when we were allured to order by a picture of one delicious food item.
This magic menu I am building is based on dark design ideas.
The main idea of this magic menu is to lure customers to eat more, order more and spend more.
Above shows the AR prototype built by Wiarframe.
When the customers are waited to be seated, the menu shows an overall view of the food items.
When the customers are called to the table by table number, the menu knows the customers are coming by detecting the number.
The menu will start to show tons of delicious food on the menu to attract customers and arose their appetites.
In the meantime, the menu will calculate how long the customers stare or look at each picture of food item to generate a customized recommended menu.
Then, when the customers seat down in front of the table, the menu will show them the recommended food menu to let them order the most attractive food first.
When the customers start to order, the menu shows a series of "dark" interface.
The menu will show the recommended menu first and force the customers to order them. Then, the menu will show some sides which can be matched to the food ordered.
